Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

Jellywave is a music streaming client for Jellyfin servers. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

What Jellywave Does Not Do

What Jellywave Stores on Your Device

All data Jellywave stores remains on your device and is never sent anywhere except the Jellyfin server you configure.

Server credentials

Jellywave stores the server address, username, and authentication token for each Jellyfin server you add. This information is saved on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults) so you stay logged in between sessions.

User preferences

App settings such as streaming bitrate, default view, and display options are saved locally on your device.

Downloaded music

Songs you choose to download are saved to your device's local storage so they can be played offline. You can delete these at any time from within the app.

Network Access

Jellywave connects only to the Jellyfin server addresses you provide. These are servers you own or have been granted access to. No connection is made to any server controlled by the developer of this app.

Network requests are used for:

CarPlay

When CarPlay is connected, Jellywave displays your music library and playback controls on the CarPlay screen. No additional data is collected or transmitted as a result of using CarPlay.

Children's Privacy

Jellywave does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app has no account system and collects no personal information.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
